During President Donald Trump's speech at the 400th Anniversary of the Joint Commemorative Session of the Virginia General Assembly in Jamestown, a state lawmaker interrupted the president with a protest of his alleged "attacks" on immigrants around the U.S.

Virginia state delegate Ibraheem Samirah (D-Fairfax) stood up at the front of the audience with a sign - that read "reunite my family" and "deport hate" - and yelled at the president, "You can’t send us back, Virginia is our home!"

Samirah also put out a statement regarding his little outburst on Twitter.
