This may be hard to swallow for the "she won the popular vote" crowd.

A U.S. Court of Appeals in Denver ruled Tuesday that Electoral College members may vote for the presidential candidate of their choice and are not bound by popular vote within their states.

The court made the ruling after finding that the Colorado secretary of state violated the Constitution in 2016 when he removed an elector and canceled his vote when the elector refused to vote for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
