Newsweek has fired the journalist who wrote the false story that President Donald Trump was busy "golfing" and "tweeting" on Thanksgiving Day, when he was actually making an unannounced trip to Afghanistan to spend the holiday with the troops.
Jessica Kwong was reportedly fired Friday after publishing an article entitled, "How is Trump Spending Thanksgiving? Tweeting, Golfing, and More" on Thursday morning. Hours later, President Trump landed in Afghanistan and Kwong's story was quickly debunked.
