It's Now 'Civil War' Inside GOP's District 97 Election

Incumbent Del. Chris Peace declared himself the winner of a heated Republican nomination primary Saturday, nearly a month after his challenger, Scott Wyatt, claimed victory in a separate election process.

Peace received almost 93 percent of the 2,448 ballots cast at three Republican polling places. This after Wyatt told his supporters that Saturday’s canvass had been canceled.
