The beneficiary of this year's charity dunk-a-cop tank and raffle in conjunction with the Law Enforcement Job Fair, will be the Virginia State Police Association in honor and memory of VSP Trooper L. Dowell, EOW Feb. 4, 2019. They are looking for volunteer police officers, sheriff deputies, and other law enforcement officials/agents to get dunked. The times for the event are now set as well, 12pm-5pm at Green Top Hunt Fish in Ashland, VA. Last year they raised over $1100 for VSP Special Agent Mike Walter's family.

This year they will be hosting the event in the parking lot of Green Top Hunt Fish in Ashland, VA. The date is Sunday May 19, 2019, rain or shine. There is NO cost to you to attend, just your desire to be there and speak with potential candidates for your department. This event also is an excellent way to engage the community beyond just recruitment efforts. Each year they have seen the attendance grow and it has become somewhat of a community fair as well.
