California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) signed multiple gun bills into law on Friday, including one the expands the state's red flag laws, according to the Sacramento Bee.

One of the laws restricts gun-owners to purchasing just one long gun per month beginning in July 2021. Another requires ammunition dealers to follow the same regulations as firearm dealers.

But the most restrictive law is one that allows co-workers, employees and teachers to obtain a "red flag" restraining order against anyone they believe is a threat to themselves or others. A judge may then order that individual's firearms be confiscated.
