The Muslim call to prayer will be played over loudspeakers in a Minneapolis neighborhood five times per day during the month of Ramadan.
Al Jazeera reports that will be played all throughout the Islam holy month of Ramadan, which runs from April 23 to May 23. This marks the first time the Muslim call to prayer was broadcasted across a major U.S. city.
The prayer will be given in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood in West Minneapolis, Rep. Ilhan Omar's (D-MN) district.
