Just when you thought the mainstream media coverage of President Donald Trump couldn't get any worse, an early look at the coverage thus far in 2020 shows it may be worse than ever.

The Media Research Center (MRC) reviewed 2020 election coverage from March 4 (when Joe Biden more or less secured the Democratic nomination on Super Tuesday) through May 31 and found that the three major networks - ABC, NBC and CBS - have ignored controversies and scandals around Biden, but have given President Trump the most negative coverage of his presidency.

The MRC study found that of 474 comments on President Trump during the period of March 4-May 31, 445 of them (or 94 percent) were negative. Broken down by month, the comments about President Trump were 87 percent negative in March, 92 percent negative in April, and 99.5 percent negative in May.

However, during that same time period, the networks made only 85 comments total about former Vice President Biden, 51 of which (about 61 percent) were negative.
