The west coast was hit hard last week with a 6.4 and 7.1 magnitude earthquake and hundreds of aftershocks in their wake. For one Ridgecrest store owner, it was made even worse by the fact that his store was looted following the quakes.

According to CBS 2 Los Angeles, store owner Abdul Odeh was "shocked" to find his business had been robbed after the violent quakes hit late last week. He said that after he closed the store Friday, someone cut the power, broke in and stole the cash register and hundreds of lottery tickets.

Odeh said he lost about $20,000 due to the earthquakes. He does not have earthquake insurance but said his policy should cover the theft.
