Ever lost your credit card? Hate carrying cash on you? Well, you may not have to worry about that much longer.
People in Sweden are having microchips implanted into their skin as a replacement for traditional credit cards and cash, according to the New York Post. More than 4,000 people have had the chip - which is about the size of a grain of rice - inserted into their hands. The inventor, Jowan Österlund, is hoping it soon becomes a global sensation.
Owners can pay in store by simply swiping their hand as if they were using Apple Pay or other services like it. The chips also help monitor the person's health and allow them entry into office buildings.
Could you see this making its way to America?
