It Looks Like Joe Biden Is Not The Only Plagiarist Running
Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttgieg is catching heat for apparently trying to mimic former President Barack Obama in a recent speech and is now being accused in other instances.
Fox News referred to a tweet that Buttigieg sent out over the weekend: "If we can light up a high school gym - we can light a neighborhood. If we can light up a neighborhood - we can light a city. If we can light up a city - we can light up our country."
Social media users pointed out that it sounded eerily similar to an Obama tweet in 2012, in which the former president wrote: "One voice can change a room. And if it can change a room, it can change a city. And if it can change a city, it can change a state."
Even "The View" co-host Meghan McCain called out the former South Bend mayor.
Oh COME ON! I know Pete thinks he’s the next Obama but this is ridiculous. https://t.co/xtlCMdr1HW
