On the 23rd of March the Rotary Club of South Richmond is hosting a casino night at the ACCA Temple where they'll be raffling off a corvette to raise money for veterans.

Retired Major Mike Spracker of the Chesterfield County Police Department joined us on the Jeff Katz show to talk about the fundraiser and the charities it will be benefiting.

Veterans and Athletes United, who take veterans out on recreational activities, and Operation Healing Forces will be the beneficiaries of the fundraiser. Operation Healing Forces ministers to all the special forces groups in our military branches. There are 13,000 special operation troops who've been repeatedly deployed since 9/11. The OHF takes 2-3 couples at a time on week-long retreats on cruises and in vacation homes with a marriage counselor to help heal and improve their lives.

You can buy your casino tickets and corvette raffle tickets at www.southrichmondrotary.com to support these meaningful charities.
