In an internal review of the Russia investigation, the Justice Department is looking into transcripts of recordings made by at least one government source who met with former Trump aide George Papadopoulos in 2016. DOJ is reportedly looking into specifically why certain material from these tapes was not brought forward in applications for surveillance warrants, according to FOX News.

Sources also tell FOX News the review is looking at the actual start date of the Russia probe. Both of these are said to be important pieces in the review led by Attorney General Bill Barr and U.S. Attorney from Connecticut John Durham.
