Matt Howell from the Hanover Fire EMS joined us on the show this afternoon to tell us about the Tunnels to Towers 5K run on April 27th.

The Stephen Siller Tunnels to Towers Foundation was started by the Siller family after Stephan Siller, a Brooklyn Squad 1 firefighter, lost his life during 9/11. He'd left work and was on his way to golf when the Trade Center fell. He turned around, threw on his gear and ran toward the Trade Center paying the ultimate sacrifice for his country.

The Tunnels to Towers 5K is a fundraiser that supports the men and women who have laid down their lives for our country at home and overseas, and helps the ones who return home. Come on out on the 27th to either run, walk, or volunteer at the 5K. Also, you can form a crowd rise with your co-workers or church group to raise even more money for our first-responders and veterans.

Go to t2trun.org to register. Also, Tunnels to Towers is still looking for event sponsors, so if you want a t-shirt with your name on it send an email to Richmond@tunnel2towers.org.
