The Trump economy continues to hum right along and make life better for Americans.

The U.S. economy added 224,000 in the month of June, according to Department of Labor data released Friday. Unemployment increased slightly to 3.7 percent as well. The job numbers, however, were double what experts predicted and the Labor Department reports that employment growth has averaged 172,000 per month thus far in 2019, compared to 223,000 per month in 2018. The job numbers from May also increased past economists' projections.

This follows a May jobs report that showed the unemployment rate dropping to its lowest point in 50 years. It has held fast between 4 percent and 3.7 percent for more than a year before April of this year, where data showed it dropped to 3.6 percent.
