WRVA News is a News/Talk station with two full-time Anchor/Reporters and a Sports Director who doubles as Anchor, as well as four part-time anchor/reporters.  Not only do duties include gathering stories and audio for newscasts, but the constant updating of those stories on various social media sites, including the WRVA website, FaceBook, and Twitter.

WRVA's morning program "Richmond's Morning News" allows for more in-depth discussion of developing, breaking, and ongoing news topics with state, local, and national newsmakers, no matter where they might be.  

For major breaking news stories, WRVA suspends regular programming to go with round-the clock team coverage that includes reports from the field,  feedback from experts, and input from listeners as well.  

WRVA Newscasts are locally produced and delivered at the top and bottom of every hour starting at 5am and ending at 6:30pm Monday through Friday, and at the top of the hour on Saturdays from 6am to noon and Sundays from noon to 6pm.

The Entry contains examples of coverage political, cultural and sporting events, as well as various controversies that embroiled the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2019.
